Last month I was very fortunate to be a part of an ongoing project of the photographer and teacher Stamatis Xanthoulis documenting/ portraying professional musicians.

I saw the results of his previous shoots on the facebook walls of some colleagues and had to contact him. What I liked especially about his photos was that they seemed to reveal a deeper layer of the person captured. Raw and rough-like, emphasizing every single hair, freckle and wrinkle, his creations mimic live performance, by showing the musician vulnerable and unique.

Before I sign off, I am aware that I haven’t been posting as regularly as I would have liked, but so far 2016 was packed with lots fascinating things happening in the real world. I hope I’ll be able to share at least some of it in the following posts. So stay tuned for things to come!

So you can look like a piece of art.
In life we talk and that divert our looking.
In the second and fourth from above photos you are not
completely serious. There is an inner smile there…
