In a crazy-cool turn of events I stepped on Saturday night to sing with MAMA FRANKO at SuperMarkt on their new CD “Let’s celebrate life” release party.
I love how life’s lucky coincidences allow us to meet from time to time with some really special and talented people. The energy of this band was contagious to the point that I was walking around with a huge smile on my face from sound check till the end of the night. They played so tight I couldn’t stop dancing for one moment during the whole concert.
I got to sing the opening to the first song of the set written by MAMA FRANKO’s guitarist Farid Benkmil. It’s a slightly psychedelic waltz, which brings The Beatles Sgt. Peppers and “Being for the benefit of Mr. Kite” immediately to my mind. Having that as inspiration, I tried to work an atmosphere of somewhere between a circus and a cabaret.
